Actress Emilia Clarke, 32, shares her beauty secrets – and why she is ‘hellbent’ on not getting anything done to her face

British actress Emilia Clarke has shared her beauty secrets – which include facial massage, no-makeup-makeup and religiously cleansing, toning and moisturising her skin.

The 32-year-old – who is best known for playing Daenerys Targaryen, the Mother of Dragons, in HBO’s Game of Thrones – said she is ‘hellbent’ on not getting anything like Botox or fillers done to her face.

‘[But] that’s easy to say as a 32-year-old who doesn’t have wrinkles,’ Emilia told the Australian beauty outlet, Mecca. Emilia is also a huge fan of simple but effective skincare. She said because she had a mum who worked in beauty, she was taught from a very young age that you absolutely have to cleanse, tone and moisturise.

The 32-year-old loves Clinique’s new iD Dramatically Different Moisturizing BB-Gel, which she said works perfectly because she is ‘lazy’ and so loves the fact that she can just apply it and forget about it.

‘The BB thing is like my secret weapon; as soon as I tried it out, I was like oh, this is my vibe – this is so my vibe,’ she said. Founder of Face Gym Inge Theron said there is a simple reason why facial massage is so good for your skin: stimulation.

‘Over 40 muscles make up the scaffolding of the face. And just like the muscles in the body, the more you move them, the more lifted, tightened and toned they become,’ she told Glamour.
