She made waves when she showed off her shorter hair cut to her Instagram followers on Wednesday. But Kaley Cuoco proved that the process of getting a new chic look isn’t always as glamorous as it appears to be. The 37-year-old star was seen leaving a salon in Los Angeles on Wednesday with stringy wet hair hanging limply across her face.
The Big Bang Theory star dressed wore an unflattering grey knit sweater for the outing, teamed with tiny denim shorts, and a pair of floral print sandals. She had her hands full as she held onto her cell phone and large brown paper bag in one hand and her car keys on the other as she draped a leopard print purse over her forearm.
The new look comes shortly after she led her Twitter followers to believe she had chopped off all her hair in March, which ended up being a gag. However, on Wednesday the actress finally made the cut, showing off her new short hairdo in an Instagram photo. The beauty appeared to have taken off at least six inches. Proving this time it was the real deal, the 37-year-old actress shared a photo from her stylist Christine Symonds’ chair, which she captioned: ‘Here we go! @clsymonds.’
In her post after the restyle, she wrote: ‘We did it @clsymonds ! Now let’s get some color shall we ? @andylecomptesalon.’ Clearly pleased with the results, Kaley could hardly stifle her grin in the resulting picture. The Big Bang Theory actress – who is married to Ryan Sweeting – went to great lengths to make it seem as if she had cut off all her tresses last month.
First she posed with her usual flowing blonde locks, then she appeared in another shot with a friend holding the scissors to her hair with an open mouthed expression. A third shot showed Kaley appearing to have much shorter hair in a short, wavy chin-length bob, while biting her finger and looking shocked into the camera. However, she was just joking and although she had her hair made shorter, it was still past her shoulders.
Kaley – who was estimated by Forbes magazine to have earned $11m last year, making her second highest paid female on TV behind Sofia Vergara – and tennis player Ryan married after a whirlwind romance of only a few months before tying the knot. They recently celebrated their three month anniversary with a short break, and Kaley gushed to Cosmopolitan magazine about how excited she is to be married.
The TV star said: ‘[At my wedding], I felt like a rock star and a badass. What was amazing in that room, it was so full of love. ‘It was like nothing I’d ever been to before, and it was exactly what we wanted it to be.’It was the eighth wonder of the world, the greatest wedding of all time.’
