They are notoriously one of the most unflattering items of clothing around. But Scarlett Johansson managed to pull off ‘mom jeans’ on Wednesday, as she wore her favourite pair for the second time this week. The 30-year-old sported the high-waisted jeans – which were rolled up at the ankles – as she ran errands in New York City.
Scarlett also wore a blue and white striped shirt which was knotted at the waist, showcasing a sliver of her flat stomach. The Avengers star kept her feet comfortable in a pair of black and white Chanel espadrilles, and accessorised her look further with a gold pendant necklace and a black leather handbag. Scarlett appeared to be make-up free under her red sunglasses. The actress wore the very same jeans exactly one week earlier, when she was spotted enjoying a stroll around the Big Apple with a female friend.
It has been just over one year since Scarlett announced the birth of her daughter Rose, and she will celebrate her first wedding anniversary with Romain Dauriac next week. The couple are now living in Paris – Romain’s home city – but the blonde bombshell has been enjoying some time in New York after flying in for an interview with Stephen Colbert earlier this month. ‘There’s not a day that goes by that I don’t walk down the street and go, “Wow, this is such an incredibly beautiful place,”’ Scarlett gushed of her new home during her sit-down with the talk show host.
And while she is learning French, she joked that she will only argue with her advertising executive husband in English. ‘When you’re in a relationship with somebody you want to speak whatever language is easiest to get your ideas out as quickly as possible – so you can argue your point,’ Scarlett explained. Meanwhile, the first trailer for The Jungle Book was released last week, and sees ScarJo voicing the character of Kaa the snake.
The Disney production is just one of three films Scarlett coming out next year which Scarlett is starring in. She will also reprise her role as Black Widow once again for Captain America: Civil War, and appears alongside Channing Tatum, Josh Brolin and Tilda Swinton in comedy Hail, Caesar!.
