Ariana Grande lit up New York City in a beaming Versace dress on Tuesday when she made her first television appearance since her wedding to Dalton Gomez in May.
The 27-year-old singer songwriter joined James Corden on The Late Late Show for the musical No Lockdowns Anymore, which celebrated the end of most Covid-19 restrictions in New York and California on Tuesday.
The number was a parody of the Hairspray number Good Morning Baltimore and featured a cameo appearance from the Broadway musical’s star Marissa Jaret Winokur.
Ariana gave her 243 million Instagram followers a heads-up by sharing her unmissable yellow dress before her TV appearance.
The outfit was of a piece with the 1960s-inspired ensembles she has worn in marketing for her most recent album Positions, which was released in October of last year.
The canary yellow dress featured a plunging top and puffy shoulder sleeves, with a thick yellow belt around her midriff to emphasize her slender frame.
The 34+35 singer showed off her hypnotizing yellow patterned stockings and her square-toed yellow platform heels in one photo as she puckered up her lips while appearing to sit in a green room.
Another photo put the focus on her fancy footwear as she posed next to Marissa, who had on rainbow-colored open-toe shoes.
She also gave her fans a closeup that showcased her impeccably made-up face and her lustrous brunette locks, which were parted down the middle and rested on her shoulders.
‘fun with my friend @j_corden!’ she wrote, before urging her fans to tune in to the late-night show.
‘P.s. there may even be a very special, heart attack provoking cameo made by a Tony Award winning, friend of mine!’ she gushed, referring to Marissa’s surprise appearance.
Later, the Thank U, Next singer posted a photo to her Instagram Stories of her perfectly coiffed hairdo, as well as a repost of a Donatella Versace Instagram post. ‘A Versace Princess,’ the legendary fashion designer wrote of Ariana, while the singer added, ‘love you @donatella_versace.’
