In Milan, Anne Hathaway Is A Contemporary Jackie Kennedy

If Miranda Priestly hadn’t thrown her phone into the Fontaines de la Concorde, Andy Sachs from The Devil Wears Prada might have been sitting next to her in the front row at Armani’s fall/winter 2022 show today. In reality, it was Anne Hathaway who went to Milan Fashion Week, saw the new collection, and showed off a new look at the same time.

The star, who was there with her husband Adam Shulman, usually likes a sleek updo, but she paired her sharp suits with a beautiful hairstyle that reminded many people of Jackie Kennedy, right down to the small Alice band. Hathaway also embraced the retro look by wearing a pair of silver platforms and lots of kohl, which was a popular beauty product in the 1950s.

Althoυgh Lee Radziwill, Jackie’s sister, was the real Armani fan in the family, so it’s likely that Jackie would have liked Anne’s fitted black jacket as well. In 1985, she worked for the Italian designer as a “director of special events,” and her whole closet was full of Armani clothes. Radziwill told the LA Times in 1987 that she had been wearing his clothes for nearly six years. “Most of all, I really like his clothes. They’re just right for how I live. Because they are so simple and easy to wear, there are never any dramatic extremes or big changes.

Hathaway is also a big fan of Mr. Armani’s style of elegance. She has worn his gowns on many red carpets, including the 2011 Golden Globes, where she wore a shimmering Armani Privé Fall 2010 dress. .
